Matthew West on October 14th released his new song “Be Close”. This is not just a day he picked to release this song either. October 14th happens do be Charlie Kirk’s birthday and also the day set aside as a day of remembrance for Charlie Kirk.
“Be Close”, talks about what we are struggling with in our lives on a daily basis, and asks for the Lord to come be close to us and help us through these trying times. In the first verse of the song you can hear Matthew speak of what he is feeling witnessing what all of us did on the news, and hearing of the senseless shooting of Charlie Kirk. As he continues singing verse by verse it becomes a prayer for our nation and the broken hearted from this tragedy, and as he continues it turns into a prayer for us all.
